For the past two years at Jamboree, we have had the amazing presence of scuptor, place-based artist, writer, visual artist Lizzie Buckmaster Dove.
In 2017, she spent two days in the deep forest creating an intricate labyrynth of soil, leaves, berries and plants. The whole camp walked through the space in silence, to the beat of a drum, and made offerings along the way.
In 2018, she facilitated "Artefact of Place" - a workshop in noticing beauty, collecting pieces of the forest and creating a personal journal, keepsake, diary using positive and negative space, stencil, tape and paper.
A beautiful experience in being present, in reflecting on our self within a space.
